Ch Royal Oaks Liberty Belle (Belle-Belle) was Ardith & Eric Dahlstrom's first home-bred Champion. Belle was one of the top producing dams of champion offspring of all time. Her offspring became the foundation for several other kennels.
Belle was a very loving, easy-to-live-with, loyal and happy dog. Never sick a day in her life, and lived to the ripe old age of 16.
Belle was Ardith's dog -- but she tolerated Eric and the Dahlstrom's two kids (whom she was gentle and tolerant with, though she really didn't understand WHY they needed those kids, who came after her.) <g>
Rumor has it Belle was seen at ringside at a DCNC Specialty one year attempting to gently push young Colby's chubby little thighs off Ardith's lap so BELLE could climb in Mom's lap instead! (I never knew Belle, but after hearing that story, I KNOW I would have loved her!) ;-) |
