Day 8 -- Dagger gets in the box
Although Dagger (8 months old) seemed to LOVE the puppies and would kiss them and "clean them up" if I brought the puppies over to him (safely on the other side of the baby gate), and although Dotsie seemed to have no problem with Dagger being in the kitchen on the occasions when he "accidentally" got in ... I still hadn't LET him in to see the puppies as they were so small and delicate, and he's so big and ..."exuberant" ... and I thought he might accidentally step on a puppy!    But today I let him in -- and Dotsie even let him get in the box with his little brothers & sisters.
He is SO sweet and gentle!   He cleaned up every puppy (over and over ... and OVER) ... there wasn't a dry bottom in the house.
And then he helped Dotsie clean up the puppies some more.  Like many men, he's great with the "pee pee diapers" but not so keen on the "poopy diapers."
Then he nuzzled and kissed his Mom's ear for a bit ...
And then said, "My work here is finished ..." and sat back to admire his handiwork.
