Our last puppy, Gold Girl (now "Starbuck") has gone to her new home! Her family returned from their Hawaii trip on January 3rd and couldn't WAIT to come pick her up. Four-year old Quinn woke up that morning and while still rubbing his eyes, which weren't even OPEN yet, said, "Do we have our puppy yet???" They've decided on the name "Starbuck" ... Dad is a Sci-Fi fan (probably likes coffee too??) and I understand her name has something to do with "Battlestar Gallactica." (Of course I'm not old enough to remember THAT SHOW ...) ;-)
New Mom Nancy e-mailed today that she's "in love ..." and she could hardly tear herself away to return to work after going home at lunch to feed the puppy. Although getting a Dalmatian puppy was Mom & 8-year old Kylie's idea ... it seems Starbuck has already become a LITTLE attached to Dad. Nancy found Scott asleep on the sofa last night (just hours after Starbuck joined the family) with puppy curled up under his chin, and one of the family cats on his stomach. Sounds like Starbuck is fitting right in! |
