Dotsie has a pedigree of winners, performers, and producers; beautiful markings, healthy coat and sound movement.  Most important is her excellent temperament as a family dog in a household with 2 young children (now ages 5 1/2 and 9).

Dotsie is a "go anywhere, do anything" dog.   She's been in preschools and elementary schools teaching children about safety around dogs.   She's visited nursing homes.   She's been to parades, flown on airplanes, ridden the Disneyland tram, and stayed in fine hotels.   She worked for Disney at the release of "102 Dalmatians" at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood where she was greeted & petted & hugged & kissed & poked & prodded & laid on by literally THOUSANDS of movie-goers, most of them children.  She takes these things in stride with a kiss to the nearest chin, and a wag of her tail.

Dotsie is almost "scary" she's so smart!  She has the ability to assess situations and behave appropriately.    She has literally put her body in front of mine to protect me with her life.    She alerted us to a fire in our home, averting a possible tragedy.   She saved my then-2-year old son's life when he learned how to open the front door ... and he just walked out the door and up the street (towards a main thoroughfare).   Dotsie stayed right by his side to protect him, and barked her "THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG!!" bark to alert me.
She also has many ties to her "Gypsy" roots ... she's an accomplished food thief -- even creating diversions in her attempts to fool her human family and steal their food!

And Dotsie is brains AND beauty ... all rolled into one spotted package.    She's been photographed and appeared on a greeting card, the cover of the 2003 Pet Pride Dalmatian Calendar, and most recently, she and "husband" Jet were photographed by the San Francisco Symphony for advertisements for their May 2003 Black & White Ball (see picture pages).  Dotsie has not yet completed her AKC Championship (she
has earned 6 points).    Dotsie is "handler challenged," and many life events have forced delays in her "show career," including an injury that kept her out of the show ring for a year, a new baby in the family, a divorce (mine, not hers!), and two family moves!  I've been told by many that she SHOULD be able to finish her Championship (and one AKC Judge said Dotsie "deserves to be a Champion") ... so we'll be back in the show ring again after Dotsie's "maternity leave."

I can't say enough about this dog!  She is
everything I could have ever hoped for as trusted companion, devoted friend, and member of the family.    She is VERY special!

Dotsie's puppies will have the benefit of her ideal temperament, brains, beauty and excellent health, and will be raised in an environment rich with socialization -- especially with small children.  These puppies will have exceptional temperaments, and will become special companions, devoted friends, and much-loved members of their new families as well.
