Chopper ("Black Boy") Update
Through no fault of his own ... Chopper (AKA "Dotter's Firedog") lost his home due to his former family's living situation and family health  issues.   Chopper arrived back at my house on July 1.   (All my puppy contracts state that if the owner is unable to care for the dog -- for any reason -- I wll take the dog back and find it a good home.)   Thankfully, Chopper's family wanted the best for him and recognized that they could no longer provide it.

Chopper has visited several times before, and everyone here was thrilled to have him stay with us for awhile (except Dagger, who doesn't like other male dogs in "his" house.   Oh well, Dagger --
"Too bad!")

I'm delighted to report that Chopper left July 14th for his new home in Southern California with new Mom & Dad,  Diane and Ken. Diane is a fireman's daughter and her family has had Dalmatians for many years.  They have been suffering the recent loss of their nearly 16-year old female Dal, "Sparkie."

Chopper is an extremely sweet, goofy, and "easy-going" guy and should adjust to his new home very quickly -- and I know he'll have a wonderful life there.  Once settled, we hope Chopper will continue his "show career" in Southern California.   He is "major pointed."

When they left yesterday and I was getting teary-eyed, Ken said, "Thank you ... you've made my wife VERY happy."

And I'm reminded once again that ....
"Everything happens for a reason."
